RICORP believes in evidence-supported Best Practices, utilizing training and professional development to create the foundation for great Child and Youth Care Practitioners.

RICORP supports national accreditation standards that improve and enhance the quality of staff services as required by COA, JACHO, CARF, and state regulatory agencies. Besides offering training, RICORP is a testing site for those seeking national certification through the Child and Youth Certification Board (CYCCB).

RICORP is interested in personal and professional development programs for current and prospective youth workers in Rhode Island and the New England area. It is about those having a passion for serving young people—practicing professional chile and youth workers, new hires, apprentices, and students who are considering making youth work part of their careers.

It's about leadership and career development. This includes personal and professional career awareness.  Learning experiences focus on the individual, their careers, organizations, and the profession. It’s about getting greatness from those passionate about working with troubled children, youth, and families and their difficult life circumstances.
